What If?

"What if the sun forgot to rise? Would we switch on a light and ignore it?
What if souls could be exchanged? Would we fight for the better-looking bodies?
What if faces didn’t have lips? Would we smile with our eyes?
What if the heart was worn outside the body? Would we still judge by clothes and color?
What if trees could speak and cry out tears? Would we stop cutting them so mercilessly?
What if money was measured by helpful deeds? Would we fake the kindness?
What if minds could dream out loud? Would we stop thinking?
What if the world was country-less? Would we have war heroes to praise?
What if God sang and danced with us? Would we make music our religion?
What if everyday was a celebration? Would we get tired of parties?
What if alcohol was medicine and medicine was alcohol? Would we drink to our health?
What if we could fly like birds? Would there be traffic jams in the sky?
What if one smile could light up a bulb? Would there be darkness around us?
What if time could be turned back? Would we live in the same moment forever?
What if laughter had a price on it? Would we be as extravagant?
What if life was death and death was life? Would we kill ourselves?
What if we knew the universe trembles when we drop a tear? Would we stop crying with self-pity?
What if tomorrow came before today? Would we stop worrying about the future and live today to the fullest?"
